Andreik
I found today this Pecten in a badenian deposit from Romania. Firstly I thought there are some spots on the valves but at a closer inspection it looks like some kind of gastropods maybe. They are different in size, ranging from few milimeters but no larger than one centimeter. Does anyone know what they are? Are these some kind of parasites attached to the valves?
Thomas.Dodson
This is a form of chalcedony known as beekite. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beekite Nice example. 1
