Found this on the beach on topsail island and am wondering what it is

Not sure that it is a bone,  but if it is,  many possibilities... here are some Alligator snapping turtle (modern?) toe bones..  You can find many other turtle toe bones by searching the internet..

Poorly lit and out of focus pictures make it hard to be sure, but I also doubt this is bone.

Cropped and brightened for you.

 

While the shape is suggestive, I don't believe it is bone. I don't see any bone texture.

 

I can see why you'd pick it up though.  I probably would have brought it home for a closer look

Thanks I’m not that educated on identifying if stuff is bone or not so what are some indicators I’ve only been hunting fossils for a bit over a year
