Found this amazing Suchomimus tooth going fairly soon for a good price! Thoughts on legitimacy?  I have my heart almost completely set on it and I just want to do a few last minute checks. (Correct species and not a fake) Details:

“Theropod dinosaur Suchomimus tenerensis Tooth fossil from Erlhaz Formation,Gadoufaoua, Tenere Desert, Niger. Suchomimus (meaning "crocodile mimic") is a genus of spinosaurid dinosaur that lived between 125 and 112 million years ago. Tooth size 5cm(1.96inch).”

Awesome! Thanks so much for checking. I have always had a soft spot for Spinosaurid teeth ever since I started collecting (8 months ago Haha), and I found this to have everything I am looking for in a Suchomimus tooth (Good size, quality and price)

Looks like Suchomimus to me too. And I agree, spinosaurids are quite fascinating. By the way, it seems like these teeth from Niger are getting more and more common and affordable.

I agree! I was looking recently and I suddenly realised there were almost 20+ going practically on the same day. A good opportunity to get one, as I can practically choose any.

Those are interesting creatures. From spinosaurids, Suchomimus has always been my favorite.

I wish you luck and that you get it.

Despite liking them all, i have always been oddly interested in Concavenator, although I don’t quite know why. Thanks, as I hope I do too!

Well they are getting 'exported' by the hundreds every day almost. 99% are for commercial quality purposes. Quick resell or batch sell. For teeth like posted here. So most niger teeth are very common.

But the big quality ones are not, rooted teeth for example.

This is a blue rooted 2.8 inch+ Suchomimus tooth. No repair. Very uncommon.
