North Carolina fossils

Had a few bits found and cleaned up that I was wondering about what maybe. They are from North Carolina.

 

#1 (the first one wasn't sure if was an odd vertebra or something else)

Where in North Carolina?

It's a big state.  County level should be good enough.

Sorry forgot that part. They are from Aurora, North Carolina.

Your pictures are dark and not in good focus. making these small items hard to see. Please read some of the pinned topics about how to photograph and get your items I.D.'d.

 

With that said ... Your first item does appear to be bone, but I am not prepared to say it is a vert. It could be a broken vert, but better pics are needed.

 

the second items appear to be fish, and one of them is likely a mouth plate. But, again better, clearer pics are needed.

I tried getting a bit better photos. Think its best I'll be able do, with what got. But will try more things to see if I can get better in future.
