Rita__
Hi TFF friends. Some more finds from this past week. All found on beach in northeast FL. Would really appreciate any input! #1 really stumped me. At first I thought it was drift wood, but it’s pretty heavy and solid.

Rita__
Thank you all so much. I love learning new things on this forum. @Fin Lover thank you! I think I found more similar fragments today. Interesting thing is #2 was black when I found it and had much more distinct pattern/segments that resemble the burrfish photo. After soaking it in distilled water for about an hour - this was the color change. Not sure if I’m doing wrong by soaking it? I’m bummed it lost some character… but based on this photo - are these also burrfish mouth plates? I imagine #1 is difficult to classify if it is thank you again 🙏🏼
Fin Lover
They look like it, although I've never found just that piece that #1 is. Interesting! 1 Fin Lover
