New Members GEEfosilfindsuk Posted August 17 New Members Share Posted August 17 Hello, two fossils found in a dry riverbed in Flintshire, North Wales, UK. The country park stated it had limestone fossils from 350 million years ago when the area was covered by shallow, warm water. The lighter coloured one is shell shaped. please help my daughter and I identify these. We enjoy finding and looking at interesting rocks and fossils together together! Thank you! Mark Kmiecik
The first one looks like coal slag. The second is a very, very worn coral fossil. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
