Little Stop at Big Brook

I went for a little walk through Big Brook park since I was in the area and found a few tidbits. While of course there were plenty of Belemites and a shark tooth, I'm not sure exactly what some of these other bits are. Next time I'll actually bring a little spade and sieve!

Is this one a belemite which retained its outer coating?

1. Coprolite

2. Can we see other views of the second item? My first thought was ghost shrimp.

3. Echinoid spine.

Your “plant” is actually a coprolite, probably shark. The other one I’m not sure, but may be a coprolite also. Your last one is an echinoid spine. Never found one in BB, but I’ve heard of others finding them recently. All of these (especially the belemnites) may be Navesink Formation material instead of the Wenonah Formation which produces most of the shark and fish teeth and all of the reptile fossils. Congrats on the poop and the spine.
