New Members El_Ale Posted August 20 New Members Share Posted August 20 Hello, I will be a freshman at the University of Michigan, and I will be arriving next week. I enjoy fossil hunting with my family, and as I am new to the area, I was wondering if anyone from the area knew about some sites. We are able to drive 1-2 hours out of the area of Ann Arbor and Detroit. Thanks in advance, Ale
Coco
Finding interesting sites of fossils is a real detective’s job. We read geological maps and scientific publications, we are documenting TFF for example because there is a section reserved for the United States, we do reconnaissance on the ground without necessarily finding. It’s often a lot of time and travel expenses. It’s like asking for a good mushroom site ! For all these reasons, do not expect to have a lot of information about very good fossil sites, not to mention that we don’t know you yet... However, those who are willing to help can do so by PM. Fossildude19
Anyone with information for the OP can send that forward via the PM system. Topic is now locked, as sharing fossil sites online is not in the best interest of fossil hunters.
