New Members Dinoboy88 Posted August 22 New Members Share Posted August 22 Hi folks, I am pretty new in the fossil game, this being my first post after all. A little while ago i bought a what was described as a Afrovenator tooth from Niger, I have other more "classic" types of afrovenator tooths and i found this one looking very different. I know these tooths from Niger often is very hard to identify but i would appreciate all opinions and thoughts on it!. Thanks a lot

I also find it very similar to for example Eocarcharia teeth`s i have seen before.
rocket
One of the main problems is: every jaw of a "raptor-type-dino" has a lot of different teeth. Depends where the position is, upper/lower jaw, maxillare, praemaxillare and so on... And, when you check the some jaws you will see the the teeth of a perhaps maxillare do not look similar enough to be sure with every tooth... I would agree with Joris, better to write "Megalosaurid indet" on the label.
