Not a tooth. No enamel present.

That said, I do not know what this is.

Not sure as it was my brother who found it. Based on location and off this map I found I'd say early miocene or oligocene. Don't know if that's what you're asking.

Thanks for the replies!

Hi,

Yes, that’s what I was asking. I don’t know if it’s a fossil, but maybe @fifbrindacier will know more.

Salut ma Coco nationale,

Near Bordeaux is something unprecise to me.

It looks to be Medocan so, it might be Bartonian or Lutetian.

Could you give us more information please ?

That has the look of à piece of Rudist you can find in the Cretaceous of the north side of the estuary of Gironde, so, at the complete opposite of the area you show were you surely can't find Rudists because they disappeared during the Cretaceous extinction.

Otherwise, it could be a piece of Chert.

Thanks, it does indeed look very similar to some others I've seen online now. It was right on the south margin where Garonne and Dordogne meet according to my brother. Would that be too far for cretaceous fossils?

Yes, sure, the area you circled is part of the aAquitanian basin, you can't find Cretaceous fossils there.

They are on the north side of those rivers.
