RocksAndFossilsHunter
Found this in Indiana, but it came from a quarry. Anyone know what type of tooth it is?

Fossildude19
Not a tooth. No enamel present. No tooth morphology. No root, or bone texture to indicate it is a root. Definitely NOT a tooth. Compare with pictures of actual Mastodon teeth. This looks nothing like those. I wish it were some sort of tooth, but, the evidence says otherwise. 1 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
