Brevicollis
Hello, I need some opinions on this Barasaurus really fast, if there are any shenanigans and if its good to buy. Are you guys able to see anything I should be concerned about ? Reconstructed and/or repainted areas ? The source (reliable, I know it for quite a while) states in the description that some cracks were stabiliced, and minor areas have been painted. Thanks ! @oilshale, @rocket, @Phos_01 Edited August 28 by Brevicollis My account and something about me : My still growing collection : My paleoart : I'm just a young guy who really loves fossils

Hmm sorry from what I see it looks painted. If there are real parts, then its heavily restored and painted. Therefore I would not recommend this piece.

rocket
might be there is a medium quality negativ and bit positive in it. But, everything is hardly overpainted so it is not possible so say how much is real... better to wait for another one

It takes time finding good fossils, many many time. But beter wait for a good and real one, then quicky buy one and regret it years later when you know what to look for and what it looks like. Take it from someone who has experienced it. Most of us made some mistakes, thats why the forum is a good help if you are not 100% sure of your fossil.
