Any ideas what this little bird fossil might be

Found this little cutie a couple of years ago here in the Boise area.  The more I looked at it both the more I could make out. I have established that it's a bird fossil of some sort but now I see possibly 2 little heads and webbed feet in there. What I'm wondering is how to go about cleaning it safely and possibly bringing out more detail safely

Unfortunately, this seems to be non-biogenic geologic. There are no bones or anything to truly suggest a bird fossil of any kind.

I can see the entire head.

I'll find a way to clean it up and post better pictures

Sorry, but there is no bird fossil there. This looks like a metamorphic rock.

 

No amount of cleaning or photography will make this a bird fossil.

 

 

What you are seeing is due to Pareidolia. We all have experienced seeing shapes and faces in rocks.

Unfortunately, that does not make this a fossil.

 

There is no bilateral symmetry. There are no bones, or bone textures.

No bird anatomical features.

Using shape as an identification for a fossil is always problematic. Our brains evolved to recognize known shapes, even when they aren’t there.

I am sorry, however I have to agree with the other responses. I do not see any proof in this rock. In all honesty, I cannot even see this head of which you speak.
