New Members Gordon123 Posted August 31 New Members Share Posted August 31 Hi all , new to this site, but thought would take advantage of your collective knowledge. The other day we found this rock/bone fossil while walking on Lyme Regis beach, Jurassic coast, Dorset, UK. We thought it might be a plesiosaur rib or part of a paddle bone?. Any help gratefully received. Thanks

Welcome to TFF, I am amazed that I am trying to identify 40 mm bone tip with few distinguishing marks.... I like your idea of a paddle bone, but given the size, maybe turtle... Think about breaking off the ends of some of these bones.... Remove the epiphysis and compare This ID only qualifies as a "maybe" 1 The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
