Hey all, I'm a newbie fossil hunter from coastal Mississippi. A friend and I are planning to make a multi-day trip to the north of the state and hunt. We're for sure going to check W.M. Browning Cretaceous Fossil Park, but we wanted to check several locations and I've heard that the Demopolis Chalk formation is in the area, at the very least near Tupelo. I was wondering if there were any known access points to get onto the chalk, or maybe some particular places with road offcuts or the sort that any of ya'll know of. I know people tend to keep special spots tight lipped, but anything and everything would be of help.
