Not sure what it is. But I think it is petrified bone.... I'm really curious what kind of bone this could be.

I'm not sure just what it is, but it looks manmade to me. Humanite in other words.

It's sounds like ceramic too. That was my first thought. But then I thought what purpose would that serve?? Looks like a hollow bone with bone marrow....  Thanks for your opinions.

Sorry, but I just don't see the texture of cortical bone or the sponginess of a medullary cavity.  Ceramics are always formed with a cavity in the center to prevent cracks during firing. Sometimes they still don't survive the process. This could have been such a piece.

Looks very much like ceramic to me too. I would guess maybe a handle from a pot or some other kind of vessel. Might get a closer ID if you can assemble those broken pieces.

Dear forum

You guys unfortunately are right about my "bone" it's ceramic..... Great now I have to apologize to my father in law for being rude to him after he broke off a piece "geological find of the century"... Anyways thanks for all y'all's help. I would definitely recommend this forum y'all are very knowledgeable.
