MrGiggles008
Hello amazing people, Im hoping someone could help me ID a bone that I collected. Formation: Hell Creek Locale: South Dakota Known info about the area: This was found in a bone bed that represents river systems from the cretaceous. When this fossil was originally removed from the matrix, it was thought to be a turtle humerus. After some amateur prep, I noticed the bone was very smooth and hollow, which I know to be indicators of theropod bones. Calipers bottom scale is in Inches. Note: there is a small piece that was not recovered on the more complete end, but (im hoping) it should not affect ID of the bone. The broken (hollow) end occured before fossilization and was filled with matrix when found.

hadrosauridae
If this is your bone, it's a dromeosaur humorous, proximal end. Ps, Walter Stein agrees on ID Edited September 3 by hadrosauridae Professional fossil preparation services at Red Dirt Fossils, LLC. https://reddirtfossils.com/

Thanks for the help. Now I need to ask if Walter Stein might want this one back for science haha. I'm happy to return it if so. Thanks again.
