Hi guys,
in the beginning I am sorry for being so amateur but I need your help mainly because my 5 years old son is big fan of archeology. And recently he found on the beach this stone/bone and forced me to get more information about it. Please, can someone help to identify it?

- Found near beach (50 m from shore) on island Dugi Otok in Croatia
- Feels like stone in weight but visible bone shape
- ca 9 cm long, bone is 3-4 cm wide

Thanks a lot for any hint!

Rudist or coral. Not a bone.

My first thought was coral. Does not have the typical features of bone.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
