Is this a fossil or a rock?

I found this while visiting st pete beach florida. It seems like the end of a bone but I'm not to sure.

Looks like a piece of fossil bone.
Not sure if you can say more than that, though.

It is bone, likely a Chunkasaurus :TongueOut:

I believe its identifiable. Part of a turtle/tortoise shell. Looks to be one of the neurals from the top center/midline of the carapace.

The one dorsal view shows a horizontal groove/line which I believe represents one of the sulci. Some of the neurals will have one sulcus depending on its position along the shell.

The one ventral view you have shows the raised longitudinal ridge where it would have been attached to a vertebrae. 

I've got a pic or two somewhere of some I have to show you...give me a minute...

Tim, Thanks for the rotate editing help!..should be a simple one button fix...lol...not...

I need to change photoeditors i guess..it has done some wild things occasionally...

The new hardware is actually here so it's time to upgrade/finally migrate off Windows 10 which Microsoft says is going unsupported in Oct.  My hardware is so old i can't upgrade/put 11 on it...
