New Members JohnL Posted September 7 New Members Share Posted September 7 I found this interesting looking (fossil?) in Decatur , Texas. It was in a creek bed . I will load more pictures when I get back home . I only had the one on my phone . Is this just a really cool rock ? Or maybe something else . fossilus
I believe that the area around Decatur is entirely Cretaceous marine limestone. This looks like an interesting looking piece of limestone, weathered to look like a fossil. Keep an eye out as nice ammonites have been found around Decatur. Fossildude19
No bone textures. No enamel. Interestingly shaped rock, for me.
