DPS Ammonite
Welcome to the Forum. Familiar with Kinradite? https://www.mindat.org/mesg-643680.html https://www.mindat.org/article.php/490/"Kinradite"%3A+Orbicular+Jasper+from+San+Francisco You probably need to let us know a more specific locality then we can look at a geological map to determine probable rock unit that it came from. @Boesse Edited September 8 by DPS Ammonite My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. Not sure if it's just an odd shaped rock or an actual fossil? We might need some more views to help those with more vertebrate expertise than me. I usually just stick to the 99.9+% of all fossils, non vertebrates. What is your favorite SF Bay Area jasper? Edited September 8 by DPS Ammonite My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. There is no bone texture and the shape is not quite right- particularly on the ends.
