What a fantastic find.  You and your dog are living the life.  Hiking the mountains of Alaska.

WOW! I am just back from a week long trip to the Wrangell Mountains and have this wonderful award from the Fossil Forum. Thank you for the nice comments. I really liked this particular ammonite as it had some remaining nacre which caught my eye in the field and cleaned up nicely. I guess I owe a summer adventure report for my travels in Alaska and in Wyoming, Green River Formation visit to two commercial pits and help from @jpc on a day hike for ammos.

We're ready to read your reports when you slow down enough to write them. Lots of nice eye-candy photos too, please. ;)

Cheers.
