Mahnmut
Hello and welcome to the forum! Nice colour on that tooth, looks at least somewhat mineralized. I guess its from an ungulate animal, but others will know more. Shellseeker
So, Basque, Biscay... Spain ? Different sets of animals in different places... It is important to know where found. Also it seems to be 25-30 mm square . Is that close... Clearly fossilized. Looks like an enamel cap with a stylid. I am coming up empty and it is getting late. I'll look for other responses. 1 The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"

Shellseeker
Impressive comparison. I agree that your tooth matches the Bison jaw. What are the measurements of your blue tooth? In Florida our Bison have much bigger teeth The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"

Shellseeker
This thread shows the difference between size of a lower Bison tooth and a lower cow tooth. You still have not provided a measurement 1 The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
Mahnmut
Well, Bison /Bos bison is out of the question for Europe. There where wild cattle here of course, B. bonasus, B. primigenius (Aurochs) and I am sure lots of others. Not sure if there where wild forms with teeth as small as domesticated cattle, but there is always the possibility of juveniles... Very nice coloured bovid fossil in any case!
