Unusual Asbian (Mississippian) brachiopods from Derbyshire, U.K.

I thought I might share pictures of the brachiopod Pugnax acuminatus from the Upper Asbian Limestone of Castleton in Derbyshire. They display an extreme example of a deep fold and sulcus. Other Brachs show similar morphology, for example Ladogia sp., typically from the Upper Devonian, but they have more prominent costae. These Pugnax are from the well-known Treak Cliff location and are fairly rare to find in good condition.
