New Members LeonDrey Posted Thursday at 06:22 PM New Members Share Posted Thursday at 06:22 PM How do I properly clean? There seems to be another shell at the bottom, third shell or a different fossil all together? 20240912_130957.heic 20240912_130855.heic 20240912_130906.heic

Fossildude19
You need to post images in .JPG format. The Forum does not handle HEIC images. DPS Ammonite
Looks like an inoceramid clam internal mold/steinkern with a little bit of prismatic calcitic shell left (see red arrows). Probably Cretaceous in age. PS: After looking at all three photos, the layer pointed out by the red arrow may also be a prismatic vein of calcite that is unrelated to the shell. Some of the layers are going at odd angles to the steinkerns. Edited Thursday at 07:22 PM by DPS Ammonite My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
