New Members Rebrost Posted Saturday at 07:00 PM New Members Share Posted Saturday at 07:00 PM I’m working as an environmental consultant at a site in Torrance, CA (next to LA) in Pleistocene alluvium. At 25 feet below ground surface, we drilled into what looks like coral. Can anyone tell if it is coral and if possible, what type? Thank you!!

FossilDAWG
I agree, bone not coral. Whale is likely, but further identification is not possible due to lack of diagnostic surface features. Don
