Not sure what it might be, just curious if someone might be able to help figure out what it is. It's got a notch to where you can place your middle finger as almost to make a sawing motion.  It almost feels like it's hallow but not. I know that sounds weird.

Looks like a piece of chert, to me. :unsure:  

Does not look like an artifact or fossil, to me.
