I think the black color is ink or paint.

The fossil may be real, but looks enhanced, to me.

Is that supposed to be a leaf or his wings?  They don't even match up to his body.

Those aren't wings, it is a leaf.

 

This is supposed to be a larval dragonfly.

Would that not be odd that it's legs just happen to be missing on the same side as the leaf?  They aren't behind the leaf, they're just gone.  Granted I only have a few bug fossils, but this doesn't look right to me.

The legs on these are often painted on. As  I said before, the black parts of this fossil look painted or inked on to me. I think the body may be real, but the rest I think is painted on.

 

Here is an image  of the fossil in question, with the colors reversed:  the brown parts of the leaf and the bug look light blue, while the ink/paint looks light yellow.
