Fossil park Sylvania , ohio

I'm going to Sylvania fossil park next month for my birthday and I want to know what to bring how to find decent specimens and do I have to buy tickets somewhere ?

It's free. Closes at 5:30pm in october. No rock hammers or tools allowed. Fossil finds are minimal at best; this is the end of the season and it's pretty much picked over.  IMHO not worth the effort.  You may be able to scoop some sediment into a baggie to sieve for microfossils.  Check out The Fossil Guy's site for info on the Silica Shale:
