location: aarhus, denmark

found: loose beach rock

units: metric

own ID: I've always been assuming these are some sort of cephalopods due to what i believe is maybe the siphucle throughout, however i've never found out for sure and would like additional verification. im also curioushow these form since theres usually only a shape preserved with the inside of the rock being uniform throughout

Is picture 3 the opposite side of picture 1?

So, for me, it's a maybe.

Not seeing any indication of camera/segments of a cephalopod, but the shape is compelling.

It could be any remnants of a sea sponge, or  not a fossil.

Personally i doubt it could be a cepholopod, I've never seen nor heard of one preserved in flint.
