New Members davechesh Posted 3 hours ago New Members Share Posted 3 hours ago Hi all, Not sure what to make of this one, Found in the glacial till clay at Mappleton over the weekend. Weighs a good 3kg and has by the looks of it had another layer to the outside, which has cracked off the face but still remains in the matrix end. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you David
Thomas.Dodson
This appears to be a Productid brachiopod. Where is Mappleton? Do you have any information on the age of the erratics? 1
TqB
I agree with @Thomas.Dodson, productid. It's from the Yorkshire coast, England, and will be a Carboniferous erratic. 1 1 Tarquin
New Members davechesh Posted 2 hours ago Author New Members Share Posted 2 hours ago Mappleton is in east Yorkshire just south of Hornsea, thank you for your help. I may try to remove some of the matrix to get a better picture of the outer layer
