Stalagmite?

Hello.

I’m new here. From Slovenia and 34 years old. I have no clue of minerals and rocs etc. i just bought a house and there are what looks to me like stalagmites all around it. Idk where the owner got them or anything about it…anyone could help identify them? Or direct me where should i go with them? I know it takes really long for nature to form them. And my main question since they are nothing special to me..is this worth something?

Sure looks similar to the speleothems that occur in my area.

Yeah i’ve seen similar in postojna cave and some other caves in alovenia. Idk where the man got this from

Hello neighbor ;)!

 

Slovenia has vast stretches of limestone, so there are "myriads" of possibilities where they could come from. My guess is from a construction site or a quarry.

 

Yes, they could look nice when cut and polished. Here is an example of a speleothem (flowstone) found in the debris in a small pit situated along a forest road:
