Rockwood Posted yesterday at 04:16 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:16 AM Hairlike structures are often identified as the rooting structures of a sponge.

Franz Bernhard of course. it appears to be planar, however it's difficult to tell. it doesn't appear on the other side of the rock at all however looking at one of the holes it does appear to extend at least a little bit into the rock , but not more than ~2 cm at most. I've tried scraping it off at least 10 times because it looks so much like something like wet piece of hair or seaweed that dried on the rock and sticks to it ive attached some additional photos where you can just make out that it is planar
Rockwood
The top photo in this set Looks a little like an external mold of a gastropod. Could it be a trace made by one twisting itself into sediment?
