Hi again all,

 

Found this piece over the weekend at Dimlington, east Yorkshire.

The oval section in the middle is calcite based on acid drop testing but nothing else is

Not any kind of expert but I am thinking geological not fossil. Some flint with impurities.  There are lots of fossil clubs in the UK. And local museums to find a local geologist or paleontologist to give you a knowledge based opinion.
