Some sort of bone fossil found on beach

Hello, 

 

I went shark tooth hunting on Tybee Island in Savannah GA and came across this funky little fossil. Can anyone tell me what it could be?

part of a tooth... cow?  There are others on here who will be able to tell you more.

Welcome to TFF

Your tooth is most likely Bison or Modern cow.  Their teeth are very similar since Bison is an ancestor of cow.

One way to differentiate Cow from Bison is size --- Bison teeth are much bigger than cow. This one below is 38 mm == 1.5 inch
