New Members Mt_Splashmore Posted Wednesday at 06:12 PM New Members Share Posted Wednesday at 06:12 PM Hi TFF! Just wanted to get a better opinion on the authenticity of this Keichousaurus skeleton I’m interested in. Seller is a paleobiologist I’ve bought good quality fossils from before, who has provided the following information: Found:- Spathian Stage, Early Triassic, Xingyi, Ghizhou Province, China. Age:- 242 Million Years Old. Size of Reptile = 14.5 cm (5.75 inches) long Thanks in advance!
Fossildude19
Looks pretty good to me. There may be some paint involved, but, I would think minimal. Isotelus2883
I think the 1st one has more bone not ground away so you might get more out of it if you reprep.
Crazyhen
Both are genuine but are typically acid washed and mechanically prepped. Much of the bones got eroded or ground away. There are better ones out there (naturally split or manually prepped, as shown below).
