Fossil?? Found in New Mexico on open land.

Hi 😳 I know absolutely nothing about Fossils or rocks but I've always been intrigued by them. I found this in New Mexico ( U.S.A.) 

on some open land. I really don't have any idea what ot is so any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

This looks geologic, not a fossil.  It looks like a chunk of conglomerate, that is a rock composed of many different rock fragments, some of which are fairly large.  Think of a landslide or very energetic stream bed that lithifies into rock.  On several of your pictures you can see all the variously sized pebbles cemented together.

It could also be partially consolidated sediment that was ripped up and redeposited by a storm.

I would suspect that it is fanconglomerate cemented by calcrete.

 

For example: Calcrete Growth in Alluvial Lowlands - New Findings in Eastern Washington State and Calcic soils and calcretes in the southwestern United States, USGS Open-File Report 77-794 by George Odell Bachman and Michael N. Machette
