Hi, I've gotten interested in this and was wondering if people could point me to good reading material on Maryland palentology? I would be especially interested in general overviews of eastern Maryland and the DC area, materials on stratigraphy, and anything that can give me insight into Cretaceous and Paleocene materials especially from a general ecological and botanical standpoint. ID material would be nice as well. I'm mostly taking a break from active collecting and am  but I'd like to have research material on some of what I've found this summer. I know there's the state geological survey

Hello,

You might try to Google Formation names, and PDF following them.  For example,  "Patuxent Formation PDF"  gives you quite a few PDFs to choose from.
