Two Sundays ago I was able to get permission to get onto a dredge that has been overgrown for the last few years and had a good opportunity to search a site that's only been picked over by workers, if at all. We didn't get too many teeth, but the teeth we got was more than enough to have me anticipating the next trip. It started out pretty slow, until I got the first great white, which is about 1 1/4 inches, and from there quite a few fragments of whale teeth, along with a tapir tooth fragment. The next finds over the following 30 minutes were two great whites, both hovering around the one inch mark, one of which was complete. So then we walked back to the car and as I'm going to open the door I noticed a small lemon shark tooth about a meter away, and completely miss the huge great white that is literally a foot away from my foot, only seeing it after showing off my last minute lemon shark. It is the largest in my collection at just under 2 1/4 inches. IMG_20240930_191626.thumb.jpg.b2c6f46bc30e028e0ca18f2c3c6d485b.jpgIMG_20240930_191728.thumb.jpg.fb3d3b36a9ae50fc52f20374e59500dd.jpgIMG_20241010_160643.thumb.jpg.e46d698686d72427df68bdbd71290c1b.jpgIMG_20241010_160619.thumb.jpg.9fb554d6a7c0bf5724e0dc464a103f0a.jpgIMG_20241010_160526.thumb.jpg.c1bbcf5ad69d4faad3e4d94c37eec458.jpgIMG_20241010_160549.thumb.jpg.424dd7de6e17ebec1c585f0b4aaf623e.jpg

Fantastic Finds... Great Whites are Scarce, at least in my hunting areas.. I thought I would go back and find the last GW I have found and it turns out that it was found on October 10th, 2021 !!! Amazing Coincidence.... 3 years ago... exactly

Up in Jacksonville we're lucky that in the very few productive sites we have great whites are fairly common, back in it's hey day we had a creek where it was expected that we could pull out at least one great white per trip, though megs are a bit more uncommon.
