New Members BoneToPick Posted 5 hours ago New Members Share Posted 5 hours ago Hi everyone, I came across this fossilised bone recently on Benacre beach, Suffolk, UK. Does anybody know what this likely is? I'm assuming it may be a mammoth bone, as some have been found not too far away along the coast. However the majority of fossils found on Benacre are shells, etc. Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated. Thank you so much!
Coco
Just because there are many mammoths out there doesn’t mean your bone is from one of them. It’s not very scientific. Unfortunately, it is a small piece of bone that has certainly been much larger, and it will be difficult to say more.
