Hi team, I'm new to this, and no one seems very interested, or helpful, here in the south island NZ.

We have massive erosion happening around me, so there are fossils everywhere!

Could you post these in a more manageable form? It's difficult to identify such a disordered spread.

  • Fossildude19 changed the title to South Island New Zealand Fossils

I see a tusk shell, a possible gastropod, a sand dollar piece, and maybe an echinoid or two, plus some rocks (last 4 pictures, and first several) , ...  but this presentation makes it very difficult to single anything out.

Please post a few items (4) per post, at a time, and NUMBER each specimen. That way we can point out what you might have more easily.

Please keep titles on the Forum short and sweet - and informative.

"South Island NZ fossils"  is a good title.

Number them, so we can easily distinguish.

"South Island NZ fossils 1st set"

"South Island NZ fossils 2nd set"

"South Island NZ fossils 3rd set"  etc.

Welcome to the forum!  I agree that it's very difficult to respond when pictures aren't numbered.  That being said, I definitely don't see any of the items in your tags.  Like Tim said, there are a few items of note, but quite a few rocks.
