Fossil ID

Hi local nature center in NJ was closing and giving away fossils from storage. We got this from a box labelled Provo, Utah. Most were local fossils. They didn’t know what it was. We thought maybe a coprolite but not sure? Any help appreciated.

Looks more like an infilled burrow, to me.  :unsure:

The last photo looks like a partial coiled nautiloid steinkern and the next to last shows possible chambers at the top. Difficult without the specimen in hand though.

It might be a bellerophontid as well. I can't tell if there are possible chambers as TqB mentioned.

It's odd, whatever it is.

There is a weird imprint where I wouldn't expect it.

I'm seeing that as the impression of the next whorl. And the hole at centre on the right hand end is a possible siphuncle - we're looking at a cameral wall as in this one (a little Permian Peripatoceras):
