I took this photo of an ammonite fossil from the Late Cretaceous Ladd Formation in Orange County at the Lewis Science Center in Orange Coast College in 2020 and I'm curious as to which ammonite genera occur in the Ladd Formation.

Below is what I was able to find.

Sundberg, F.A., 1980. Late Cretaceous paleoecology

of the Holz Shale, Orange County, California. Journal

of Paleontology, pp.840-857.

Subprionocyclus sp.  (pages 844, 845, 848, 850, 851)

Baculites sp. (pages 845, 848)

+++++

Stallwood, R.B., 1995. A Turonian clavagellid (Bivalvia)

from the Ladd Formation of southern California. Journal

of Paleontology, 69(1), pp.84-88.

Subprionocyclus sp. (pages 85 and 86)

I was not able to access:

Packard, E. L. 1916. Faunal studies in the Cretaceous of the

Santa Ana Mountains of Southern California. Univ. Calif.

Publ., Bull., Dept. Geol. Sci. 9:397-402.

However, it is cited in both of the above papers.

I hope that this helps.

Yours,

Paul H.
