Fossildude19
Looks like a piece of chert, to me. May have been a gastropod or rugose coral, at one time, but I am not sure that you can say for sure which. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." FossilNerd
I agree with Tim. Looks like it might have been something at one point, but it is too weathered to say what. I also agree that it has the look of chert on the broken part. 1 The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. -Neil deGrasse Tyson Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't. -Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
TqB
I'm pretty sure it's a solitary rugose coral. You can see short septa on the wide end (at around 12 seconds), as well as from the side. Clear photos are generally better for ID than videos. Edited 8 hours ago by TqB 2 Tarquin
