New Members CarlaAlise Posted 10 hours ago Author New Members Share Posted 10 hours ago Here is next one... about 2 by 2&1/2 inches & about 3/4 inches wide. Does anyone know what type of tree it is?
Rockwood
It's very difficult to identify the type of tree that petrified wood came from. There's a chance that it is well known enough that someone can offer a reasonable guess. Conclusive identification requires microscopic study of three different sectionings, however.
