jnicholes
I found these while I was out looking at rocks, I thought there was nothing special about them, but then I noticed that three of them have a pattern on them that looks like seashells. I have reason to believe that these are fossil shell fragments. They are definitely stone. Can someone help me figure out if these are fossil shell fragments or not? By the way, I haven’t been on the forum in a long time. It looks like a lot has changed. It’s good to be back.

jnicholes
Sorry, guess I forgot to add the location. I found it near where I live, in Lincoln county, Idaho. I know this is a lava rock/volcanic area, but these look so much like shell fragments that I am pretty certain that they are exactly that. Here is another picture with a size reference object.
