Silurian fossils

I've been exploring a new locality recently. Quality fossils are sparse. I'm not entirely sure yet of the precise horizon but it is interreef with small accumulations here and there. It's only accessible in low water and even then must be traversed.

And then a stroll through the woods.

The outcrop is small but it exists and that is what matters. The fossils concentrate in pockets, or sediment traps, or a source of substrate for sponges or corals, such as stromatoporoids or favostids. Here's a snake that was sunbathing.

First find was a Gravicalymene celebra disarticulated inside a softball-sized stromatoporoid.

Next was fragmentary Illaenoides triloba parts- these are not very common.

Found in association with these was a lichid which I'm not certain of ID. At first seems like Metopolichas but really not sure with this one.
