New Members AndreasRihoux Posted 3 hours ago New Members Share Posted 3 hours ago Not long ago my aunt gave me a large 'orange/brown' ammonite. I understand that this one is very sculpted, which is why I doubt whether it is real? It comes from Morocco and was owned by a serious fossil collector. DPS Ammonite
It is real, however the inner part outlined in red is carved. 1 1 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. Thank you very much! How did you come to the conclusion that this is real? What should I pay attention to in the future?
FranzBernhard
There is no reason to fake such a rough ammonite including carving on one side and matrix at the other side. Natural supply is plenty. Franz Bernhard
