worthy 55
Would this tooth fall under being a transitional GW because of it's lack of serrations ? It's my bone!!!
PaleoRon
Interesting tooth. The lack of serrations near the root is odd. When sharks evolve serrations they typically appear near the root and then work toward the tip until the teeth finally become fully serrated. All of the transitional great white teeth that I have follow this pattern. The serrations on your tooth fade before they reach the tip which would indicate it is a late transitional tooth, but the lack of serrations near the root seem to be a pathology.
