we got to the beach and found things as soon as we got there, but that soon stopped and there was nothing but sand. Then we see a guy walking twoards us and we decide to turn around, right as we turned around a nice 1 7/8 mako became exposed. As i look at the tooth i notice serrations on one side of the tooth. then again nothing untill luck hits again and another nice sized mako is uncovered. When we were walking away from the guy i noticed the beach layer that was begining to be exposed, thinking that maybe something nice would be in it i decided to head back and sure enough i see a root and some serrations sticking out of the 1 3/4 inch chub.

Great story! The chance to snatch victory from the jaws of disappointment keeps the thrill alive.
